Man taken to hospital after being 'attacked with bottle' in a Camborne park

A man has reportedly been attacked with a bottle in a park in Camborne.

Police were called to Tuckingmill Valley Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim, in his 30s, suffered a cut to his face and was taken to hospital.

Officers say a 26-year-old local man from the Camborne area was arrested and remains in custody.

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to get in touch.

"We were called with a report a man had been assaulted with a bottle at Tuckingmill Valley Park, in Camborne, at around 3.05pm on Wednesday 30 March.

"Officers attended the scene and the ambulance service was also called to the incident.

"The injured man, aged in his 30s, sustained a cut to his face and was taken to hospital.

"A 26-year-old man from the Camborne area was arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody at this time.

"Enquiries are continuing."
