The Prime Minister has turned up at the Royal Cornwall Show on what was already a day of big visits.
Boris Johnson is said to have arrived at the site near Wadebridge to cheers and jeers from the crowds.
He met MPs and posed for a photo, before asking his team: "Now what, a Cornish pasty?"
Mr Johnson's visit is said to have been a last-minute decision and comes on the same day as visitors waited to welcome Prince Charles and Camilla.
MPs say one of the highlights was the visit to the cattle shed where he got to see the animals face up and, apparently, put "a lucky touch" on one which then went on to win the Champion Breed!
Newquay and St Austell's Steve Double was among the Cornish MPs to greet Boris Johnson on Friday morning and said he believes the PM wanted to meet local people and businesses.
He said: "Local MPs were told on Wednesday that he was going to be making a surprise visit to the show today which was great news.
"He came and he walked around the show looking at a number of different exhibits and the animals and it was great to have him here.
"Being here at the show today, it's wonderful to see people here, to see it busy, people really enjoying all the show has to offer and to be able to meet people and it's great that the Prime Minister came, showed his support for the show itself, for Cornwall and for our agricultural and food and drink producers here in the county.
"I think it was really welcome and really important that he came".
