Body found after Newquay fire

It happened on Narrowcliff on Tuesday

Police say they're investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal fire in Newquay earlier this week.

Officers were called by the fire service to a fire at a residential property on Narrowcliff, Newquay, at around 4.35pm on Tuesday 22 July.

After enquiries to identify and locate next of kin, they can now confirm that the body of a man in his 30s was found deceased in the property.

His next of kin have been informed.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but officers are keeping an open mind.

Enquiries are ongoing and a police cordon remains in place at the scene.
