Police searching for a missing St Austell veteran have found a body

Devon and Cornwall Police say the family of 42-year-old Anthony Haley have been informed

Police searching for a St Austell man who disappeared over a week ago have found a body.

42-year-old Anthony Haley was reported missing on Wednesday 22nd September.

Coastguard and specialist search and rescue teams were involved in the operation to try to find the veteran.

Police have confirmed a man's body was found in the East Cornwall area on Thursday 30th September and Anthony's family have been informed.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The body of a man was located on Thursday 30th September in the East Cornwall area.

"Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of Anthony Haley has been informed of this development.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner".
