Trial begins of three people accused of Bodmin nightclub murder

The trial of three people accused of the murder of a man outside a nightclub in Bodmin is underway at Truro Crown Court.

A jury has been selected in the trial of a man and two women accused of murdering 32-year-old local man Michael Riddiough-Allen.

Michael Riddiough-Allen, from Liskeard, was found dead near the Eclipse nightclub in Bodmin on 30 April 2023. Six other people were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries.

25 year old Jake Hill of Jubilee Terrace, 22 year old Tia Taylor of Northey Road and 22 year old Chelsea Powell of Granny’s Green have each been charged with murder and an alternative of manslaughter

Jake Hill has also been charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent.

The proceedings are expected to last up to eight weeks at Truro Crown Court.
