Biker taken to hospital following multi-vehicle crash on A39 at Penryn

Police say the man's injuries are not described as life-threatening of life-changing

A biker has been injured and taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Cornwall's A39.

Police say the man's motorbike and two cars collided at Penryn, late on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say the casualty was taken to Treliske after it happened just before 5pm.

His injuries are not described as life-threatening or life-changing and no other injuries have been reported.

The road into Penryn was closed for almost three hours but reopened just before 8pm.

In a statement, the force said: "Police were called at 4.50pm yesterday, 21st June, following a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle on the A39 in Penryn.

"The male motorcyclist was taken to Treliske Hospital.

"His injuries are not described as life-changing or threatening.

"No other injuries reported.

"The road into Penryn was closed near Asda and reopened at 7.55pm".
