Police have issued an appeal after a fatal motorbike crash near St Austell.

A biker died following the collision involving a van and a car on the A391 on Friday evening (October 14th).

Anyone who saw what happened between the Scredda and Carclaze roundabouts is being urged to come forward.

A spokesperson from Devon & Cornwall Police said: “At approximately 1905 hours on Friday 14th October 2022, emergency services were called to a report of a road traffic collision on the A391 between the Scredda and Carclaze roundabouts on the A391 at St Austell.

“A black Honda motorcycle had been involved in the collision, along with a white Citroen Berlingo van and a grey Peugeot 207.

“Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene, despite the best efforts of paramedics and police.

“Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene and carried out a detailed investigation.

“Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any information which would assist the investigation.

“Witnesses should contact 101, quoting log number 774 of 14th October 2022”.
