Biker airlifted to hospital following crash in Cornish village

A biker has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Roche.
Police say a car and a motorcycle were involved in a collision on Trezaise Road at 2.15pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the female biker was taken to hospital by the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
"We were called with a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Trezaise Road, Roche, at around 2.15pm.
"Ambulance and fire services have also attended the scene.
"The female motorcyclist has been taken to hospital by air ambulance with what are currently believed to be serious injuries.
"The extent of any other injuries is not currently known.
"The road is blocked and is expected to remain shut for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area."
