Baby taken to hospital after crash involving a bus in north Cornwall

A baby has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a bus in north Cornwall.

Police say the vehicle left the road on the A395 at Laneast, near Launceston, on Tuesday morning.

There are no reported injuries but the child is being checked over as a precaution.

The road was closed for recovery to take place and drivers asked to avoid the area.

"We received reports of a road traffic collision in which a bus had left the road on the A395 at Laneast, Launceston, at around 11.10am.

"Ambulance service has also attended the scene.

"There are currently no reported injuries but a baby has been taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.

"Motorists are advised that the road will need to be closed for recovery of the bus to take place."
