Police say he remains in a serious condition in Derriford

A man is in hospital with a serious head injury following an assault outside a pub in Truro.

Police were called to the Railway Social Club area on Station Road on Saturday night (2nd July).

Officers say the victim, in his 50s, remains in a serious condition in Derriford.

Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information is being urged to contact police.

A force spokesperson said: "Police investigating a reported assault in Truro, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

"Officers were called to reports of a serious assault at around 10.30pm, on Saturday 2 July outside the Railway Social Club, Station Road, Truro.

"A man in his 50s sustained a head injury and remains in a serious condition in Derriford Hospital."
