Arrest made after man was threatened by someone 'with a machete' in Camborne

A man has allegedly threatened someone while carrying a machete in Camborne.

Police were called to the playing fields behind Roskear Road on Sunday afternoon (12th June) following reports of an altercation.

A 28-year-old local was arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released under investigation.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 1:15pm on Sunday 12th June following reports of an altercation taking place at the playing fields behind Roskear Road, Camborne.

"It is alleged that one man made threats to another man whilst carrying a machete.

"Officers attended and following police searches, a 28-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of affray.

"He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
