Three men have been charged after police, including armed officers, were called to reports of a break-in in Camborne.

Units were scrambled to an address in the Pengegon area just after 5.30pm on Sunday 26th June.

Later that evening, one man from London and two men from the local area were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

On Monday, Devon & Cornwall Police said no-one was injured but added that residents may see a heightened police presence over the next few days as enquiries continued.

They have since confirmed that an 18-year-old man from London and a 37-year-old man from Camborne have been charged with aggravated burglary of a dwelling with intent.

Another man from Camborne, 35, has been charged with aggravated burglary of a dwelling.

All three are due to appear before Truro Magistrates Court on Tuesday 28th June.
