Police appeal after A30 crash left a driver with life-threatening injuries

He remains in a critical condition in Derriford Hospital

Police have issued an appeal after a serious crash on the A30 between Camborne and Hayle.

Officers were called around 6.55pm on Saturday (16th October) after the collision between a beige Toyota Yaris and a white Nissan Elgrand at Roseworthy.

The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 40s from the Helston area, sustained life-threatening injuries.

He remains in Derriford Hospital in a critical condition.

The other driver, a man in his 60s from the Penwith area, received minor injuries.

Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team attended.

The A30 was closed while a specialist examination of the scene took place and the vehicles were recovered.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
