The Royal Cornwall Hospitals' NHS Trust says affordable housing is still a big issue for NHS staff in Cornwall.

Last year a Facebook group was set up for workers at Treliske, to let employees share details of accommodation.

From there, people are matched with rooms and homes as soon as they become available to rent.

Since the private group was set up, it has notched up more than 600 members.

Now health bosses are urging more landlords and letting agents to sign up and help.

Posting on its social media page, RCHT said: "Affordable accommodation is still a big issue for new and existing staff working with us in Cornwall.

"Last year we set up a private Facebook group for existing employees and those with offers of employment, where people can share details of accommodation, as soon as it becomes available.

"This group now has over 600 members and is successfully helping to match people with rooms and homes to rent.

"If you are a landlord, letting agent or private individual with accommodation to offer we’d love to hear from you.

"Please fill out this online form where you can send details for us to post on our group".
