Stretch of A39 closed in north Cornwall following crash

A stretch of the A39 in north Cornwall was left closed in both directions for hours following a crash.

A lorry and a motorbike were involved in the collision near St Teath on Wednesday lunchtime.

Police have confirmed that a biker in his 40s was airlifted to Derriford with a serious leg injury.

There was slow traffic in the area and it was affecting drivers travelling between Camelford and Wadebridge.

The road has now reopened.

At the time, Inrix Traffic and Travel said: "A39 in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident, a lorry and motorcycle involved between B3266 (Bodmin turn off, Camelford) and the B3267 St Teath turn-off (St Teath).

"Police closed the road around 13:15.

"The B3266 is also closed at the junction, affecting traffic between Camelford and Wadebridge."
