A30 crash: One person airlifted to hospital

Police say the person has sustained "potentially life-threatening injuries"

Emergency services have been called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the A30 on Bodmin Moor.

It involved a car and recovery truck between A38 Launceston Road (Callywith, Bodmin) and Codda (Bolventor / Jamaica Inn, Bolventor).

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"It has been reported that one of the vehicles has rolled and has come to rest on its roof. One person has been air lifted to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

"Police, Fire and Ambulance are all currently on scene and a road closure is in place on the east bound carriageway."

The latest update from INRIX says: "A30 Eastbound closed, slow traffic due to accident, a car and recovery truck involved between A38 Launceston Road (Callywith, Bodmin) and Codda (Bolventor / Jamaica Inn, Bolventor).

"The road is looking to remain closed into the evening.

"Diversion - via A38 at Carminow Cross towards Carkeel Saltash."

Police have since issued an update to say that a man has been arrested.
