A stretch of the A30 in Cornwall was left closed due to an overturned car.

It is reported to have happened near to Chiverton Cross just after 4pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say there were no reports of injuries and Highways were called to the scene.

Sensors have confirmed that traffic is now passing and the road has reopened.

At the time, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police called at 4.10pm to Chiverton Cross roundabout following reports that a vehicle had flipped.

"There are no reported injuries. Highways England have been called to attend due to oil on the road.

"The road is closed at this time and the incident is ongoing."

There were delays in the area with queuing traffic affecting those travelling during the evening rush hour.

But it is now easing as the accident has cleared.
