A mum from Cornwall raises awareness of those needing more room to protect themselves against covid-19.

Nina Peters set up the not-for-profit organisation Shield Us CIC back in May.

It sells items - including badges - with their symbol on aimed to let others know that they're vulnerable.

Nina told Pirate FM they have been supplied to people across the UK including staff at NHS trusts.

The charity posted these pictures of a renovation project they carried out for a young woman with motor neurone disease.

Later this month Nina will spend a week experiencing what it is like to live with a range of disabilities while looking after her three children to raise even more cash.

Here's what she will film herself doing and post on YouTube to encourage people to donate:

  • Being in a wheelchair for 24 hours
  • Blind for 24 hours
  • Deaf for 24 hours
  • Mute for 24 hours
  • Having all of her hair cut off for those undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy
