£6,500 worth of jewellery stolen from home near Launceston
Police want anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward
£6,500 worth of jewellery has been stolen from a house near Launceston.
Police say the burglary happened in the St Giles on Heath area some time between 9am and 10.45am on Thursday 17 September.
Stolen items include two silver embossed watches, one with turtleshell casing; gold bracelets; a gold filigree heart shaped necklace with a 20-inch chain; a gold, 18/20-inch long rope necklace; three sets of gold hoop earrings; two turtleshell, diamante hair slides; a silver box chain with multi-coloured pendant.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact officers.
"Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspicious in the area prior to the incident and may have information which could assist their enquiries.
"In addition, officers would like to hear from anyone who comes across secondhand jewellery for sale and suspects it might be stolen."
