Police have seized £20,000 worth of heroin from a property in Penzance

Police have seized heroin with a street value of £20,000 from a property in Penzance.

Officers carried out a misuse of drugs warrant in the town on Thursday.

They say information had been provided by members of the public.

A large quantity of the class A drug was found and a local man has been arrested.

Penzance Police posted on Facebook: "On Thursday 16th December 2021 members of the Penzance Neighbourhood Policing team, assisted by our Proactive and Disruption Team, carried out a misuse of drugs warrant at an address in Penzance.

"A significant quantity of class a drugs (Heroin) with a street value in excess of £20,000 has been seized. A local man has been arrested in relation to this offence.

"This warrant could not have been obtained without information provided by members of the public.

"We ask that anyone affected by drug related ASB to contact us on 101 or via the force website. You can also report via Crime Stoppers."
