13-year-old girl injured after suspected hit-and-run in north Cornwall

A 13-year-old girl has suffered minor injuries after a suspected hit-and-run in north Cornwall.

Police say it happened on Boyton Road in Launceston on Sunday afternoon.

The girl was on her bike when she was in collision with a grey-coloured car.

The vehicle then left the scene.

Anyone who saw what happened or who has CCTV footage of the area is asked to contact officers.

"Police investigating a reported hit-and-run involving a 13-year-old girl in Launceston are appealing for information.

"A grey-coloured car collided with the child, who was on her bicycle, in Boyton Road at around 3.15pm on Sunday 27th September before leaving the scene.

"The girl sustained minor injuries."
