An 104 year old celebrating her big birthday at a Cornwall care home says a "good mind" is her secret to a long life.
Beryl was born on April 23, 1920 and lived in St Blazey and has been a resident at Caprera Care Home since 2013. She's been celebrating a special 104th birthday with residents and visitors today (Tuesday 23 April).
When asked what her secret is, Beryl modestly said: "Nothing really, I'm not sure about that. I worked, a good mind, that's it! Nothing unusual."
"Doing what I want to do and do it correctly I suppose"
The birthday girl, who was wearing a 'Queen Day' badge, has been visited by school children from Sandy Hill Academy who sang her Happy Birthday and gifted her a special birthday card with drawings from all the pupils at the school.
