C.O.N.S.T (Children of Normanton Support Team) - £491.00
C.O.N.S.T is anon-profitable children’s group set up in 2004 to encourage children between the ages of 5-16 to engage them in positive activities outside school hours doing multiple sports and arts & crafts. Out of these sessions they learn to work as part of a team, communication skills, and leadership skills whilst building up their self-confidence. Cash for Kids are funding arts and craft sessions which will enable young children to discover their creative side with their finished products giving them a sense of accomplishment boosting their self-esteem.
Local Women’s Refuge - £791.00
Cash for Kids have funded play equipment for their garden area which will encourage families to spend quality time together.
KCSA College - £1075.00
KCSA are a not for profit organisation which delivers highquality, innovative education and training for young people in the Kirklees area, guiding disadvantaged and disaffected young people back into mainstream education and society. They offer a wide range of personalised and vocational programmes to motivate, inspire, nurture and develop young people who are at risk of crime and offending. Cash for Kids have funded hair, barbering and beauty equipment to help expand and equip the salon at the learning headquarters to give practical opportunities to the young people for these courses.
Cross Gates and Manston Children’s Centre - £480.00
The Children’s Centre serves the community by providing high quality targeted and universal services alongside their colleagues in health, education, social care and the private sector to raise children’s outcomes in all areas of development e.g. physical, emotional and learning. Cash for Kids are funding for resource packs such as; story sacks, nursery rhyme bags and singing sacks which will unlock learning skills in all areas of the curriculum and are key to success.

Children’s Services applied to Cash for Kids to help fund beds for three children’s beds.
Girl Aged 12 - £2000.00
The young girl was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the left thigh in Feb 2016 and following 8 months of chemotherapy and major surgery she was given the all clear. Unfortunately before Christmas 2016 another tumour was discovered in her left thigh resulting in a hindquarter amputation in January. Cash for Kids are funding a summerhouse which will provide her with a safe haven for her to hang out either alone, with friends or with her pets, as well as doubling up as a creative space for her arts and crafts.
William Merritt Centre - £3134.39
This centre provides impartial information, advice and assessments for disabled people of all ages. They run a service called Switches4 Kidz service which is well established and is for disabled children to allow them to play with the same toys and games as their friends and siblings by adapting toys or enabling access to PC games consoles and tablets, they can learn the skills to be able to communicate, but most importantly to play and have fun. Cash for Kids are funding equipment which will enable children to try out alternative access methods, such as switched and adapted stylus’ and be able to position them in such a way to promote independence.
Syrian Community of Leeds - £735.00
The Syrian community of Leeds is helping Syrian refugees and their families to settle, advocacy support, employment training, education,applications, Esol classes, physical and sports activities. Cash for Kids are funding outdoor activities which will provide entertainment for children andtheir families improving their physical and mental status allowing great social time and many families live in flats with no gardens.
Swinnow Children’s Centre - £2374.00
This centre is an organisation which provides support,outreach and building relationships within the local community. They work with disadvantaged children who have experienced issues such as domestic violence;the impact of drugs and alcohol dependency, abuse and neglect, financial hardship, children looked after by local authority and foster care, mental health and children on children protection among others. Cash for Kids are providing resources for toddler and baby sessions such as Rhymetime, MessyPlay, Terrific to be Two and Crèche which provides them with the chance to develop their social and emotional development, language and communication skills and physical development that are the essential building clocks forearly year’s development.
YMCA Leeds - £1030.00
The YMCA provides children with a place to be safe and enjoy taking part in sporting and recreational activities in a structured but informal setting. They run an after school club which includes Gymnastics, Football, Recreational games/play,Multisport, Rollerblading Club & Parkour. Cash for Kids are funding equipment and resources to help develop these particular activities.
Children Aged 14, 12, 11, 10 and 6 - £495.00
Cash for Kids have been approached by social services to help provide beds for a family who are in need of significant support.
Leeds Baby Bank - £2578.20
Leeds Baby Bank offer supports to families with younger children aged 0-4 years old and provide clothing, bedding, and equipment such as Moses baskets, cots, pram and high chairs. Cash for Kids are funding key essential items which will have a direct benefit on their mental, emotional, physical and overall wellbeing.
