Wisbech playground re-opens in addition to £1 million grant from government
The playground has been shut since early June
Wisbech playground re-opens today after shutting on June 5th due to structural issues found with some of the equipment.
Cambridgeshire County Council owns and operates the playground.
Damaged equipment has been removed new accessible equipment bought in.
This is in addition to the £914,000 recently secured from the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) as part of its Youth Investment Fund initiative.
The County Council is appealing to local businesses, organisations, charities etc who may be interested in sponsoring new play equipment or wish to donate materials to create a community garden eg seating, plant boxes and other materials.
