Two arrests in Cambridge stabbing investigation

Two men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Cambridge that left a 52-year-old man in a critical condition.

Police were called at around midday on Wednesday, 2 October, after reports of a stabbing in Nicholson Way. Officers responded, and the victim, a 52-year-old man from Cambridge, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, theft of a motor vehicle, being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, and making threats to kill. Another 24-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, theft of a motor vehicle, and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Both men were arrested in Cambourne on the evening of 3 October and are currently being held in custody at Parkside Police Station.
