A registered sex offender has been jailed for eight months after being guilty of making indecent images.

Nathaniel Martin was spared jail previously after being convicted in 2021.

34 year-old Nathaniel Martin, of Maule Close, Eynesbury, St Neots, had been given a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for two years back in 2021.

He was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and began to be monitored by the force’s Management of Sexual or Violent Offender team.

During an unannounced his phone was found to contain over 100 indecent images and 10 indecent videos.

Martin admitted three counts of making indecent images of children and was jailed at Peterborough Crown Court.

Det Sgt Andrew Lunn said:

“Our main aim in the MOSOVO team is to protect vulnerable children, whether in the real world or online.

“Cases such as these help to highlight that work, which most of the time goes on behind the scenes. A child is victimised when an indecent image is taken and every time it is viewed or shared.

“Martin’s offending shows he had failed to heed the previous warning when he was handed a suspended sentence for similar offending.

“I hope he now reflects on his actions and he will continue to be monitored by the team on his release from prison.”
