Schools closed and residents without water as main bursts in Witchford
Anglian Water say their engineers are working to resolve the issue
Villagers in Witchford could have woken up to low pressure or no water at all this morning, as a burst main affects the area.
Those in Ely and surrounding areas might also be affected, according to Anglian Water, who say their engineers are working to fix the burst water main in the area.
Witchford Village College have closed today due to the burst pipe, announcing the closure on their website.
Anglian Water say they're trying to keep the majority of customers on water by using large tankers to top-up the network and re-routing water from other areas.
A spokesperson said: "We know this is especially inconvenient when you’re getting ready for the day, so thanks for bearing with us while we get things back to normal as fast as we can.”
They're expecting a "significant improvement" over the next few hours.
