5,000 people due to visit this year's Pride in Ely spectacular

Around 5,000 people are due to turn out for this year’s Pride in Ely event.

It kicks off at 10am today in Jubilee Gardens and The Maltings, where there will be entertainment on both the main and acoustic stages through the day.

Some of the activities on offer include a craft market, street food market and the fun zone will all return while from 6pm, there is a pop-up cabaret showcasing entertainers such as acrobats.

The event, which is free to attend has been running since 2018, and the hosts will be Autumn OhMy Dayz alongside drag queen Stunnalina.

Organisers are due to welcome around 5,000 to the city for this year’s event.

Kiera Delaney, trustee of Pride in Ely CIO said: “It’s a day full of fun for everyone whether you are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or not.

“People of all ages welcomed; just bring an open mind and heart.”
