Neighbourhood officers in Huntingdon have dismantled a cannabis factory with an estimated street value of over £700,000. The operation, discovered on 1 November in Judson Court, involved the seizure of 735 plants and growing equipment spanning three rooms.

The discovery was made after local residents raised concerns. Police have confirmed that although no arrests have been made, an investigation is underway.

Officers advise that there are several signs which may indicate a property is being used as a cannabis factory. Indicators include frequent visitors at unusual hours, windows blacked out or covered with condensation even in mild weather, bright lights visible at night, tampered electricity meters or new cabling leading to street lighting, a distinctive sweet aroma, and noise from ventilation fans. Excessive quantities of plant pots, chemicals, fertilisers, and compost may also signal such activity.

Residents with any information related to drug activity are urged to contact the police online or by calling 101.
