Police continue searches and are following up on sightings of a missing man – a week after his disappearance in Cambridgeshire.

Mathew Hallam, 32, was reported missing from his home in Thompson Meadow, Guilden Morden, after he was last seen at about 1.20pm on 11 July, heading towards a footpath near to Thompson Meadow and High Street.

There have been unconfirmed sightings of Mathew in Castle Camps and Linton, where officers are continuing to speak to local people and searches have been carried out with the support of dog units, helicopters and Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue (CamSAR).

Searches are continuing today (18 July) and into the weekend in the south and south-west area of Guilden Morden.

Mathew is described as 5’10”, medium build, brown shoulder length hair and is believed to be wearing a white cap, white T-shirt, dark shorts and white trainers.

DI Nick Heald, who is leading the searches, said: “I would like to thank those who have reported information to us so far and we are very grateful for the public’s support in the search for Mathew.

“We continue to be concerned for Mathew’s welfare and urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him to get in touch with us.”

Anyone who has seen him or has information concerning his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
