Police have established a 100-metre cordon and evacuated residents after executing a warrant in Welland Close
Suspicious items were discovered during a police raid in St Ives this morning, leading to the evacuation of local residents and the deployment of specialist officers.
The incident began when police executed a warrant at a property on Welland Close in the early hours of 18 November.
Following the discovery, a 100-metre cordon was put in place, and nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution.
Specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officers were called to the scene to handle the potentially dangerous items.
A police spokesperson stated, "We have established a cordon and evacuated local residents to ensure their safety. Specialist officers are assessing the items found."
The situation remains under investigation, and the public is advised to avoid the area until further notice.
