Some Cambridgeshire hospitals have tightened restrictions for visitors following an increase in some illnesses.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust say the measures have been introduced following a rise in cases of norovirus, flu, RSV and Covid.

The measures include wearing a mask, and a restriction to visiting hours, which are now between 3 and 6pm.

The update, posted online, also contains details of restrictions including one visitor at a time, over the age of 12, for all areas including wards and the Emergency Department.

Restrictions at CUH NHS Foundation Trust come as today it's been revealed cases of flu in hospitals across the country have quadrupled since last month, with many emergency services feeling strain from demand.

Anyone unwell or experiencing symptoms of infection is asked to not attend.
