A 51-year-old man has been jailed for four months after he repeatedly breached a court order stopping him from entering Peterborough city centre.

Stephen Unwin, of Charnwood Close, Fletton, had been banned under a five-year criminal behaviour order put in place in March. The order barred him from being in the city centre, drinking alcohol in public there, and being found drunk within a defined area, except for work, medical appointments, support services or court appearances.

Unwin was first caught on 9th August when CCTV operators saw him cycling around the city centre while drinking alcohol.

He broke the order again on 2nd September, when he was seen loitering and drinking outside St Johns Church in Cathedral Square.

Unwin admitted both breaches at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (17 October) and was jailed for four months.
