A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a collision near Sawston over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The man was cycling southbound on the A1301 when he was involved in a collision with a grey Citroen DS3 coming in the opposite direction at just after 7pm yesterday (27 May).

The 33-year-old man from Sawston was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with life-threatening injuries and is still in a critical condition.

The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her 40s, was uninjured and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
