Man in hospital and another arrested after collision on A14
The man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs
Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A14.
It happened at about 12.40pm yesterday (27 April) on the A14 Eastbound at Fenstanton and involved a silver Vauxhall Astra estate and a blue and silver Kawasaki motorbike.
Emergency services attended and the motorbike rider, a man in his 50s from Leicester, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries where he remains.
The driver of the Astra, a 43-year-old man from Kimbolton, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.
He has been released on bail while investigations take place.
Officers are appealing for information or dashcam footage from anyone who was travelling along the A14 between Godmanchester and Fenstanton at about 12.40pm who may have witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it.
