Man in 70s dies after crash between car and lorry in Soham
The lorry driver was uninjured
A man in his 70s has died after a serious car crash on the A142 in Soham this morning (6/11).
At about 10.25am police received reports of a collision between a Mercedes Actros HGV and a black Mini.
Officers and paramedics attended, but the driver of the Mini was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
The road is likely to remain closed for some time while recovery takes place.
Detective Inspector Garry Webb said: “A man has tragically lost his life in this collision and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision, or either vehicle prior to it, to please get in touch.”
