Man dies in A428 collision near Eltisley

A man in his 60s has died following a collision on the A428 near Eltisley.

At approximately 4:50pM, on 12th August, the man, who was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro van, was involved in a crash with a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and a Ford Laika.

Emergency services responded to the incident, and the man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he was pronounced dead this morning.

The road was closed following the incident, and no other injuries have been reported.

The driver of the HGV, a 53-year-old man from Doncaster, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.
