Man charged after spitting incident at Peterborough v Ipswich

A man has been charged after appearing to spit at an Ipswich player during their game with Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon.

46-year-old Leroy Miller has been released on bail to appear at Peterborough Magistrates Court in May.

Posh were beaten 3-0 - and dropped out of the play off positions.

In a statement police said:

"Police have charged a man following the Peterborough United vs Ipswich Town football game on 22 April."

"Leroy Miller, 46, of Black Prince Avenue, Market Deeping, has been charged with a Section 5 public order offence.

"He has been released on bail to return to Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on 12 May 2023."
