Man's body recovered from River Nene in Peterborough
He was pronounced dead at the scene
A man's body has been found dead in the River Nene, near Town Bridge in Peterboorugh.
Police say they received a call at about 12pm yesterday (20 December).
The body was recovered from the river and pronounced dead at the scene.
In a police statement they say: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained".
Investigations are continuing.
