Man arrested after children found wandering the streets of Cambridge
He was detained earlier this morning
A man is being questioned on suspicion of child neglect - after two young children were found wandering the streets of Cambridge on their own this morning.
The man was arrested earlier today.
Officers say the children have both been safeguarded and are now in the care of their mother.
In a statement Police said: "Protecting children is a force priority and examples such as this highlight our commitment to keep them safe and also the sensitive nature of work our CAISU department carry out."
"If you have any concerns about a child, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem, please report them to us. One call could change or even save a life."
