M11 Southbound closed after vehicle fire

One lane 1 on the M11 southbound between J14 Girton and J13 Cambridge remains closed following a vehicle fire overnight.

Emergency resurfacing of the roads is now taking place, due to the severity of the fire.

A spokesperson for National Highways East said:

"The lane closure will be in place until tonight, when a full carriageway closure will go in place to allow for emergency resurfacing works."
