A 42-year-old woman has lost her license after she was caught THREE TIMES over the drink drive limit while picking her kids up from school in Linton.

A member of public had reported concerns to Cambridgeshire police as she travelled to Wheatsheaf Way on the 12th of December.

When pulled over, she gave readings of 112 and 107, over three times the legal limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

PC Sam Balcombe, who investigated, said: “There is no excuse for drink driving. Thanks to this tip off, we were able to prevent her from putting herself, children and other road users at risk.”

She was given a 12-month community order and banned from driving for three years and four months after pleading guilty to drink driving at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on Thursday (18th of January).

The 42-year-old must also carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
