Man arrested after making hoax call to police about a stabbing in Cambridgeshire
He's been arrested on suspicion of wasting police time.
A man's been arrested on suspicion of wasting police time after a hoax call was made about a stabbing in Cambridgeshire.
Police say they received a call reporting a 'stabbing' in March shortly after 8pm on Friday (October 25th).
On Facebook, Cambridgeshire Constabulary wrote, "The 8.12pm call about a serious assault in March was a reported stabbing that turned out to be a hoax call.
"One male has been arrested on suspicion of wasting police time."
The call was one of a number outlined by Cambridgeshire Police as part of its "postathon" of all the calls its control room received on Friday afternoon.
