Florist in the East lends helping hand on Mother's Day to those in need
She's been running competitions to help people who are struggling
A florist in the East of England says surprising a mum "is the most amazing thing."
Emma's Florist has been hosting competitions for free flowers ahead of Mother's Day to help those who are struggling.
Emma Felgate told us she wanted to do this because "everyone's struggling, we're struggling everything's gone up."
So she knows not everyone has been able to afford presents. Since announcing the competitions she has received several emails from people to say thank you.
"The whole reason behind it, was the fact that their Mum's done so much for them, they're only young and haven't been able to afford to do anything for them."
Emma went on to say how "they're all mums in the shop" so they understand the difficulties parents are facing.
She believes being a parent now is "even harder. It's so different to when we grew up, so there's always that pressure."
And so she loves being able to deliver flowers to mums.
"Surprising a Mum is just the most amazing thing ever."
"We love it when our customers place orders with us because taking that bouquet to them (Mums), and when we get that smile, it's so warming and so lovely."
