Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service have spent the morning tackling a blaze in Godmanchester.

Crews were called at around 8am to a building fire on The Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find a large amount of smoke coming from the derelict building.

Crews from Huntingdon, St Neots, Stanground, Chatteris, Ramsey and the aerial appliance from Stanground attended.

Working in sectors, firefighters used hose reels and jets to get the fire under control and prevent further spread.

The fire is now out and crews will be scaling down shortly.
