Second death confirmed after crash near Wisbech St Mary

Police are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of the collision between two cars last Friday

A second person has died following a collision near Wisbech St Mary last week.

Emergency services were alerted at approximately 4pm last Friday, 19 July, regarding a collision on Tholomose Drove involving a grey BMW 530 and a white Kia Cee'd.

Shane Jones, 28, of Station Avenue, Murrow, who was driving the BMW, was declared deceased at the scene. A passenger in the BMW was hospitalised with serious injuries but has since been discharged.

Andree Johnson, 62, of Church Road, Wisbech St Mary, who was driving the Kia, was also hospitalised with life-threatening injuries but passed away on Monday, 22 July.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision or anyone who observed the vehicles prior to the incident. They are also seeking dash cam footage from individuals in the area at the time.
