Driver sentenced after running red lights at 75 mph and crashing into tree
The dangerous driving happened just north of Cambridge
A Mercedes driver who drove through red traffic lights at up to 75 mph has been sentenced.
He was trying to evade the team from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Police Dog Unit.
Nahim Hussain, 25, also drove around a roundabout the wrong way during the police chase on 12 August 2022.
He eventually lost control of the car and crashed into a tree in King's Hedges, Cambridge.
Hussain, of Caithness Court, Cambridge, was sentenced at Huntingdon Law Court on Wednesday to 66 weeks in prison and suspended for 18 months.
He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, possession of an identity document with improper intention and possession of cannabis.
