Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist near Swavesey.

Emergency services were called at around 5.15pm on Friday 29th August to reports of a crash on the A1307 involving a red Honda motorcycle and a grey Porsche 911.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Porsche, a 46-year-old man from South Cambridgeshire, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail and is due to return to Parkside police station on 24 November.

Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler said:

“My thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim during this tragic time. I would like to appeal to any motorists that were in the area at the time and may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision to get in touch, particularly if you have any dashcam footage available.”

Anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police via the force website quoting Operation Unlock, or by calling 101.
