Conservatives take seat from Labour in city council by-election
The Conservatives won by just 24 votes
The Conservatives have won their only seat on Cambridge City Council following a by-election in King's Hedges.
Mohamed Delowar Hossain won 622 votes.
Labour's Zarina Anwar received 598.
Mr Hossain has campaigned strongly against the proposed congestion charge in the city.
The election was held after former deputy leader Alex Collis resigned just days after the May local elections.
