Cannabis grower jailed after 'selfies' with farm discovered
A cannabis grower took photos with £165,000 worth of drugs
Genc Gjergje, 27, had over 200 plants across two factories.
On 15 December last year, the Neighbourhood Support Team carried out a warrant at Varity House, Fengate, Peterborough, in relation to drug supply.
Gjergje, was found to be wanted for failing to appear at court.
He was arrested and put before Huntingdon Magistrates that day.
After searching his phone, officers found photos of his factory, including selfies with cannabis plants, and documents relating to property in Bretton, Peterborough and Yaxley, Huntingdon.
Police then visited a property in Clipston Walk, Bretton and found 133 cannabis plants worth up to £111,720.
Another factory at Azalea Court, Yaxley, held 65 plants worth up to £54,600, was also found.
He has also been linked to a third property in Phorpes Court, Fletton in Peterborough, which officers visited, but found only remnants of a factory.
Gjergje, of no fixed address, appeared at Peterborough Crown Court yesterday (April 4) afternoon, where he was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison.
